We are sad to announce that on August 17, 2023, at the age of 81, Janice L. Smith of Jerome, Michigan, born in Hillsdale, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard L. Smith; and her daughter Cathleen Signor. She is survived by: her children, David Covey Sr. of Jerome, Charles Smith (Jeanne) of Jerome, Lisa Hartman (Richard) of Jonesville, Kristine LaRue (Jeff) of Quincy and Teresa Schrutt (Randy) of Litchfield; and her sister Barbara Frank. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
