He was predeceased by: his wife Vivian; his daughter Wanda Brinks; his son-in-law Roger Ponstein; his siblings, Ruth Modders (Ray), Harold Brinks (Dorothy), Mae Dykstra (Ray) and Lois Zuiderveen (Garry); and his sister-in-law Sharon Brinks.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy, Jim Plooster, Cathy, Dale Elders, Doug and Jeanne Brinks; his grandchildren, Matt, Magdalyn Ponstein, Kelli, James Gilmore, Jennie, Austin Sale, Mark, Riley Elders, Katie Elders, Nick, Erin Elders, Alex Elders, Erica, Cory Dymond, Brittany and Brad Disselkoen; his great grandchildren, Owen, Hazel, Arie, Tristan, Jade, Maia, Ezra, Raelynn, Wesley, Reuben and Caden; his brother Ivan Brinks; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Vos and Isla Volkers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cottonwood Church (1101 Cypress Dr, Jenison, MI 49428).
