It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Alvin Mingerink of Jenison, Michigan, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Robert Alvin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Robert Alvin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Robert Alvin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Mingerink and Ann Mingerink; and his brothers, Marvin and Lloyd Mingerink. He is survived by: his wife Donna Mingerink (Smits); his brother Jay Mingerink; and his children, Debra Hoffman (Gary), Robert Mingerink (Denise) and Rick Mingerink (Donna). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Jamestown Baptist Church (2472 Quincy St, Hudsonville, MI 49426). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
