With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Norma Van Popering of Jenison, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Norma Van left this world on April 12, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Strabbing and Greta Strabbing; her husband Wilbur; and her siblings, Bob, Don, Chuck, Jerold Strabbing, Gladys Genzink, Joyce Schipper, Mary Shoemaker and Lois Tucker.
She is survived by: her children, Scott, Marcia, Dave, Stacey, Larry and Laura; her grandchildren, Andy, Leighann, Kevin, Renee, Luke, Quinn, Carson and Grace; her great grandchildren, Lyza, Ruby, Adele, Porter and Wells; her sister Carol Kolk; and her siblings-in-law, Roger Shoemaker, Ona Strabbing, Jo Strabbing, Carole Meyering and Arlene Van Popering.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Byron Christian Reformed Church (8541 Byron Center Ave SW, Byron Center, MI 49315).
