She was predeceased by: her brothers, John Staal and David Staal. She is survived by: her husband Jack Boelema; her children, Anne, Jim Brouwer, Ted, Betsy Boelema and Bill Boelema; her grandchildren, Adalynn, Samuel, Joseph and Jacob Brouwer; and her sister-in-law Sharon Staal. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
