She is survived by: her husband James Karel; her children, Tim, Carla Karel, Doug, Michelle Gulker, Mike and Sara Karel; her grandchildren, Andrew, Emily Karel, Jared, Andrea Karel, Nolan Karel, Lauren Gulker (Max Nihart), Grant Gulker, Jessie Gulker, Grace Karel, James Karel, Luke Karel and Liam Karel; and her siblings, Shirley (John Doherty), Paul (Linda VandenToorn), Jan (Skip Pylman) and Tom (Mary VandenToorn). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Unity Christian High School or Grandville Calvin Christian Schools.
