She was predeceased by: her husband Mark Braat; her son Joshua Braat; and her mother Norma Peterson. She is survived by: her children, Mark Braat II (Mary), Ashley Brown (Andy), Tony Braat and Stacy Kryzkwa-Hoover; her aunts, Bonnie Linscott (Jim) and Cheri Crick; her sister Jane Ketchum (Bill); and her grandchildren, Makenzie Downs, Joshua Braat Jr., Hendrik Brown, Addison Brown, Leland Braat and Margaret Braat.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital- Congenital Heart Center in honor of Margaret Braat or Helen Devos Children's Pediatric Oncology Unit in honor of Hendrik Brown.
