He was predeceased by: his parents, Lambert Ubels and Maria Ubels (De Boer); and his siblings, Ralph, Engbert and Johanna.

He is survived by: his wife Antoinette Schaap (Nettie) of September; and his children, John, Jan Ubels of Jenison, Janine and Henry Huisjen of Holt, MI. He is also survived by five grandchildren and their spouses; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Luke Society and Faith Hospice.
