He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine; his children, Richard and Janna; and his great grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua Westra.
He is survived by: his children, Cindi, Don DeJong, Lori, Dan Pastoor and Doug Dykstra; his sister Theressa; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Zinger and Elmer. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
