He was predeceased by: his great grandchild Lucas VanSprange. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his children, Linda VanSprange, Ralph Haverkamp, Jim (Lynnell Haverkamp), David (Julie Haverkamp), Tom (Amy Haverkamp) and Susan (Tom Steigenga); his siblings, Christine VanZytveld and Jack; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Koop. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Jenison Christian Schools.
