He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Niemeyer and Johanna Niemeyer; his siblings, Kenneth, Robert (Kathy), Marilyn Buwalda (Phillip) and Sherman; and his parents-in-law, Henry, Agnes Sikkenga, Harold (Eleanor), Edwin (Wilma), Florence Saunders (Bernie) and Dorothy Zuidema (Herman).
He is survived by: his wife Betty (Sikkenga); his great grandchildren, Kristin, Rick Kelly, Cameron, Emily Ritsema (Theodore), Ethan Ritsema, Collin Ritsema, Lexi, Kurt Roode, Brittany, Tony Troeger, Trevor, Megan Roode, Ali, Nick Blauw, Sander, Mary Niemeyer, Marissa, Alex and Cassi; his siblings-in-law, Jeane Smit, Roger and Joan Sikkenga; and his son-in-law Dean. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
