With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Schutter of Jenison, Michigan, who passed away on March 4, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schutter and Anne Schutter (DeYoung); his wife Hazel E. Tiejema; and his brothers, Melvin, Stephen, Norman and Eugene.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen Blodgett (John), Barth (Linda) of Hudsonville, Daniel (Joan) of Newberg, Oregon, Douglas (Elaine) of Coldwater, Timothy (Cindy) of Middleville and Susan Fairfield (James) of Port Charlotte, Florida.; his grandchildren, Rebecca Tice (Tony), Andrew (Jenni), Peter (Nikki), Philip Blodgett (Martha), Kristin Neises (Brian), Jonathon Schutter, Julie Franks (Justin), Cody Schutter, Karin Schutter, Carissa Henderson (Joel), Mark Schutter, Joel Schutter (Natalie), Steven Schutter (Holly), Katie Bowers (Nathan), Michael Schutter (Haley), Caleb Schutter (Amanda), Bethany Bremer (Michael), Rachel Young (Steven) and Jimmie Fairfield; and his siblings, Lola Ray, Alice Voegeli, David (Shirley Schutter), Janis (Gale Rogers), Laura (Chuck Botwinski), Gordon (Sherrie Schutter) and Alice Herholtz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
