She was predeceased by: her siblings, William Vander Male (Dorothy), Carl Vander Male (Mae), Gilbert Vander Male (Agatha), Helene Vander Male and Beatrice Potter (Benjamin).
She is survived by: her husband Jay; her children, Jay (Michelle Lugthart), Ken (Shirley Lugthart), Valerie (Raymond Kleyn) and Joan (Timothy Westrate); and her grandchildren, Grace Rudolph (Martin), Nadia Vlietstra (Nathaniel), Lydia Kersten (Matthew), Andy Lugthart (Alyssa), Carol Lugthart, Mandie Wierenga (Eric), Lisa Roelofs (Bob), Sheila Bazen (Tim), Carissa VanDyke (Jake), Kendra Engelsma (Charlie), Kerri Bazen (Aron), Bryan Kleyn (Maria), Kaarli Kleppe (John), Brent Kleyn (Sharon), Tim Westrate (Grace), Tyler Westrate (Abbie), Kyle Westrate and Sara Westrate. She is also survived by 41 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes (2120 Lake Michigan Dr NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Netherlands Reformed Congregation (1261 Beckwith Street NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505).
