He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelis Hoekstra and Engeltje Hoekstra; and his sister Klaasje Keur (Wim). He is survived by: his wife Jane (Vegter); his children, Neil Hoekstra, Lynn Driscoll (Tim), Henry Hoekstra (Christine) and Ingrid Mulliken (Michael); his grandchildren, Morgan, Liam, Shane (Liz), Chelsea, Alexis, Breanna, Dirk Austin, Shannon, Carly, Brett, Sean, Michelle and Jordyn; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Tate, Dirk, Malik, Lily and Anna; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Harkema (Sid), Sue Sietsema (Steve), Martin Vegter (Marsha), Gerda Gunnink (Arvin) and Case Vegter (Val). He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to World Relief or Faith Hospice.
