He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian LaFontsee and Ethel LaFontsee (Schenk); his parents-in-law, Harlow and Gladys Dine; his wife Clarice (Dine); and his siblings, Don, Dick, Delbert, Dennis, Dean, Charlene Lutz, Nannette Dusendang and Rainell LaFontsee.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy LaFontsee, Daniel LaFontsee (Sandy Wilson), Shelley Baas (Michael) and Barbara DeVries (David); his siblings, Duane Michael LaFontsee (Dort), Doug LaFontsee, Jean Pols, Lillian Riva and Nancy Buekema (Darrell); his grandchildren, Daniel LaFontsee (Sara), Brian DeVries, Mitchell DeVries (Francesca), Michael Baas, Eric DeHaan, Rebecca Krannitz (Kris) and Abbey DeHaan; his great grandchildren, Daniel Wyatt, Raylynn LaFontsee, Natalie, Nick DeHaan, Grace, Sean, Phoebe and Dylan Krannitz; and his friends, Nancy and Ricky Clemence. He is also survived by several brother and sisters-in-law; numerous nephews and nieces along with many friends and co-workers.
Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to the Madison Square Sportsmens Club where it will be used for youth programs.
