He was predeceased by: his former wife Barb Kersjes (May); his parents, R. Joseph Kersjes and Francis Kersjes (Kirkhoff); his son-in-law Darren White; and his siblings, Joan Van Gessel (Gil), Jean Chrysler (Jim) and Jim Kersjes (Kay).

He is survived by: his wife Margie Kersjes (Gessner); and his children, Tim (Patty), Tom Kersjes (Deb), Julie Kersjes, Amy White, Maria Gregory, Paula Riesenbeck, Alicia Takens (Josh) and Tricia Maday (Kevin). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.

The family would appreciate assistance with funeral costs in lieu of flowers.
