She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Oudbier and Jeannette Oudbier; her husband Arnold Essink; her daughter Nancy Alsover; and her siblings, Phyllis Williams and Adrian Oudbier.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan (Douglas Neuman) and Carol (Don Jansma); her son-in-law William Alsover; her grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Neuman (Geoffrey Goodell), Will Alsover, Jenn Leach (Mike), Elizabeth Johnson (Chad) and Christine Jansma (Mike Campau); her great grandchildren, Kendall, James, Elijah, Lydia and Levi; her sister-in-law Jan Oudbier; and her partner Ralf Hammond. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
