She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Nieuwstraten; her son John Nieuwstraten; and her granddaughter Angela Schipper. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Pontier (David), Kathy Schipper and Jacqueline Bouma (Henry); her great grandchildren, Suzanne Koser, Scott, Cindy Pontier, Matthew, Erin Schipper, Kelly, David Coneys, Henry, Kim Bouma, Luke and Jessica Bouma; her sister Riet Lems (Jan); her brother-in-law Hank Elzinga; and her nephew James Zylstra. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
