She was predeceased by: her grandchildren, Baby Ruth Abigail and Elisha Solomon Voss; her sister Kaye Rowley; and her parent Ernest W.. She is survived by: her husband James R. Wheaton; her children, Mike Wheaton, Barbara Thayer (Bill), Jeff Wheaton, Daniel Wheaton (Tammy) and Tonja Wheaton; and her nephew Elaine Weaver. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
