He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zimmerman and Ravella Zimmerman (Dominie); his grandson John; his brother-in-law Bob Henderson; and his daughter-in-law Maggie Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his wife Jan Lee Zimmerman; his children, Rick Zimmerman, Tracey Odell and Nisha Graham (Will); his grandchildren, Alana, Loren (Dawson), Tayler, Jason and Kynlee; his sisters, Marlene Henderson and Dorothy Zimmerman; his nephew Christopher Zimmerman; his niece Patricia Baggett (Ray); his golfing buddies, Bill and Ed; his close friends, Mark Potts, Bill Randall, Dan Freeman and Troy Fairbanks; and his caregivers, Patrice, Robyn, Sherrie, Liz, Abe and Jerry.
