It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Franklin Tanner (Jackson, Michigan), who passed away on March 8, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Carl Clayton and Helen Bertine Tanner (Hale); his wife Rosemary Tanner (Tenney); his children, Samantha Blue (Levi), Howard Tanner (Mollie) and Lynn Tanner; his grandchildren, Noelle Blue, Logan Tanner, Luke Tanner and McKinley Tanner; and his sister Elizabeth Elzerman (Ted). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
He was an avid ham radio operator call sign "Extra Class WB8RXN. He enjoyed traveling in their fifth wheel, fly fishing, collecting and shooting guns, Private Pilot small engine aircraft, photography, knife collecting, and bird watching. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM, Pastor Ken Pierpont officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI 49202. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
