He was predeceased by: his parents, Elma McVay and Theodore McVay; his former wife Addie McVay; and his sons, Scott McVay and Mark McVay.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McVay; his children, Louise Walz (George), Tracy Jimenez, Matthew McVay (Brenda) and Heather Stepke; his stepson Robert Anderson (Jennifer); and his brother Ted. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Eagles #612 (301 Detroit St, Jackson, MI 49201).
