With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Darryl D. Hackworth of Jackson, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Darryl left this world on April 10, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Hackworth and Mary Robinette; his wife Nancy Hackworth; and his siblings, Harold Hackworth, Duncan Hackworth (Laura) and Yvonne Itschner.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Vowler and Andrew Hackworth; his grandchildren, Sara Vowler (Brandon Dale) and Randy Vowler Jr.; and his siblings, Stanley Hackworth, Thomas Hackworth, Steven Hackworth and Diane Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's United Church of Christ (801 S Mechanic St, Jackson, MI 49203).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ - Nancy Hackworth Literacy Initiative.
