We bid farewell to Wanda Jean Whitaker of Ithaca, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 10, 2025 at the age of 99. Wanda Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Mason and Pearl Faye Becker (Hill); her husband Raymond E. Whitaker; her sons, Franklin and James; her daughter-in-law Bonnie Whitaker; her grandson Deryck Whitaker; and her sister Melba Kostal (James).
She is survived by: her sons, Edwin Whitaker, Randy Whitaker (Kathleen) and Jeff Whitaker; and her grandchildren, Bruce Humphrey (Tracy), Lena Wyeth, Randy Ray Whitaker (Rebecca), David Hunter (Candy), Brook Bruinsma (Joe), Molly Whitaker, Nathan Whitaker (Hua) and Andrew Whitaker (Jessica). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (1333 E Center St, Ithaca, MI 48847). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
