He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas I. Nester and Verna Fent; his wife Sally A. Burk; and his brothers, Don, David and Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Dale Nester, Marion (Ithaca), Jill Barrett and Ron Nester. He is also survived by six grandchildren (and spouses) and nine great grandchildren.
