He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Paul Sr. and Dorothy O. Moon (Krepps); and his sister Patricia Draper. He is survived by: his wife Judy Moon of Ithaca, MI; his children, Lori Moon of Ithaca, MI, Traci Hartupee of Shepherd, MI and Bryan Moon (Julie) of Ashley, MI; his grandchildren, Ty, Derek and Kara; and his brothers, Dean Moon (MaryLou) and Gary Moon (Mary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
