He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl R. Shaw and Audrey Jean Shaw (Downs); his granddaughter Faith; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Shaw and Glenn Hinterman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer (Wasi Sakin) and Jacqueline Shaw of Flat Rock, MI; his stepsons, Jackie Ney of Middleton, MI, Nic and Billi Ney of St. Johns, MI; and his siblings, Sandra Hinterman of Muskegon, MI, Lawrence Shaw of Ithaca, MI and Roger (Debbie Shaw).
