He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Wetzel and Shirley Wetzel; his niece Melissa; and his nephew Trevor Wetzel. He is survived by: his wife Carol Wetzel; his sons, Kurt Wetzel (Sitti Isha), Sean Wetzel (Michele), Matt Wetzel (Becca) and Travis Wetzel (Madi); his grandsons, Jacob and Lucas Wetzel; his siblings, Christine Calkins, Richard Wetzel and Gerald Wetzel; and his nieces, Ginger Wetzel (Mark Johnson) and Rachel Chapko (Adam).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barden Funeral Home (225 W Center St, Ithaca, MI 48847). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ithaca Church of God (624 E Barber St, Ithaca, MI 48847).
