She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Vernon and Ethel Marie Burns (Blakney); her sisters, Pat Donley, Ann Peterson and Jan Foreman; and her granddaughter Bonnie Pruitt.

She is survived by: her children, Dolores Pruitt of Lansing and DeTroy Pruitt (Heather) of Portland, TN.; her grandchildren, John Ney (Jackie), Nicholas Ney (Billi), Misty Pruitt, Emmi Lee (Jeffrey), Karelyn McClearen (Matthew), Jessica Brown (Randall) and Michael Pruitt; her great grandchildren, Mikayla, Carter, Addyson, Nasher, Alixandria, MacKenzie, Blake, Brant "Brent", Taylor, Gracie, Kaitlyn, Sarah, John, Abraham, Hosea, Hadassah, Ezekiel, Analynn and Daniel; and her brothers, Vernon Burns (Jean), Gerald Burns and Douglas Burns (Shirley). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
