He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wetzel (Bob) and Sarah Wetzel (Elliott); his wife Sheila Wetzel (Willert); his daughter Patti Lent; and his siblings-in-law, Mike VanGoethem, Dr. Bill Henderson and Stevie Wetzel.
He is survived by: his daughter Staci Couch of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Alexandra Couch, Matthew Couch, Taylor Root (Luke) and Jordan Lent; his siblings, Mike Wetzel and Helen VanGoethem; his sister-in-law Sharon Henderson; and his nieces and nephews, Terri Ball (Steve), Tammy Schaub (Brad), Theresa Richter (Tom), Michelle Rinard (Chris), Curt Wetzel, David VanGoethem (Linda) and John VanGoethem (Kristina).
