She was predeceased by: her parents, George Edward and Gwendolyn Grace Rogers (Sevey); her sisters, Kay Larry and Jean Landis (Elijah Bowen); her stepdaughter Jill Hodges; her stepgranddaughter Kaitlyn Hodges; her niece Kay Eckhardt; and her nephew David Ochander.
She is survived by: her husband Elijah "Lige" Milton Bowen; her children, Nancy O'Boyle (Dan) of Ashley, Jim Bowen (Cecille) of Sumner, Tom Bowen (Ulrica) of Zeeland, Mike Bowen (Kim) of Logansport and Margaret Lott (Pat) of Suttons Bay; her grandchildren, Patrick O'Boyle (Tiffany) of Cologne, MN, Kelly Stapleton (Seth) of Bad Axe, Michael O'Boyle (Lily Cruz) of Prescott Valley, Joe Bowen (Andrea) of Ithaca, Chris Bowen (Cara) of Jenison, Paul Bowen (Jillian) of Marshall, Rachel Bowen of Chicago, Emma Bowen of Logansport, Elijah Bowen of Logansport, Ryan Lott (Stephanie) of Lake Leelanau, Jaime Lott of Paw Paw and Jeff Lott of Interlochen; her nieces, Carol Johnson (Larry) of Eaton Rapids and Kathy Ochander of Lake Isabella; and her stepchildren, Bill Hodges (Deborah) of Harbor Springs and Julie Evitts (Dan) of Ithaca. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Barbara Joan to the Ithaca United Methodist Church or Rosewood Adult Foster Care of Ithaca.
