He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Arthur and Corrine J. Windahl (Dougherty); and his uncles, Louis Mitchell and Joe Brewer. He is survived by: his wife Diana (Thibeault); his sons, Jordan Windahl (Megan Bashaw) of Marquette and Tyler Windahl of Ishpeming; his sister Kristen Kellow (Russell Gloger) of Ishpeming; his granddaughter Braelyn; his aunts, Harriette Dougherty of Ishpeming, MaryAnn Mitchell of Negaunee, Ruth Johnson (Harry "Junior") of Republic and Anna Lou Brewer of Grand Ridge, FL; his parents-in-law, Betty, Jim Miller, Richard and Susan Thibeault; his cousin Anita Yee; and also Pat Manning. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his special dog.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, A Celebration of Steve's Life will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2021 at the River Rock Lanes in Ishpeming.
