He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Balconi and Aline Balconi (Oster); his wife Evelyn Balconi (Rivord); his son Michael Balconi; his brother James Balconi; and his grandson Aaron Sundblad.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Sundblad of Menominee, MI, Susan Restum of Milwaukee, WI, Rachelle Balconi of Albemarle, NC, Paul Balconi (Colleen) of Marquette, David Balconi (Kily) of Michigamme, Debbie Wenzle of Iron Mountain, Grandchilden, Amy Haske (Evan), Tia Olivier (James), Allexus Balconi, Brian Balconi, Elisa Balconi, Mary Wortman (Eric), Erica Restum, Marja Balconi and Maiya Landry; his great grandchildren, Elin and Else Haske; his siblings, Delphine Boos, Sue Hosang, Daniel Balconi (Marilyn) and David Balconi (Lori); his close friend Karen Kilburn; and also, Gary, Lisa, Robyn, Bob, Nikki and Brian. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
