He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeanette Laitinen (Oien) and Sulo Laitinen; his wife Deni (Anderson); and his sister Carrie Laforest. He is survived by: his sons, Gage Laitinen (Lorissa Juntti) of Ishpeming and Ethan (Lexi Peterson) of Ishpeming; his siblings, Maryann Schwanke of National Mine and Jim Laitinen of Wisconsin; his brother-in-law Dennis Laforest of Greenwood Loc; his nephew Brian Laitinen; and his niece Jenny Diedrick (Casey). He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
