He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson (Schaffer); his wife Marlene; his siblings, Beverly Magnuson (Donald), Judith Dixon, Betty Pepin (Theodore), Shirley Kelly (Herbert), Jeanette McNeil (Doug), Grace Saari, Raymond Johnson (Ruth) and Clarence "Bucky" Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Andrew Solka and Fred Nault.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert J. Johnson Jr. (Carisa) of Iron Mountain and Ron "Tuner" Johnson (Denise) of Ishpeming; his sisters, Joan Solka and Marianne French (Dave); and his siblings-in-law, Alice Johnson and Ken Saari. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
