He is survived by: his children, Mary Afshar (Amir) of Ishpeming and Daniel Dobson (Diane) of Champion; and his grandchildren, Daniel Dobson, Abraham Afshar and Amir K. Afshar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
