He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Nirva and Mary Ellen Nirva (Rysso); and his daughter Kathy Lorden. He is survived by: his wife Elaine M. Nirva (Tessmer); his children, Cheryl Smith (Paul) of Oakwood Hills, IL and Michael Nirva (Janice) of Oakwood Hills, IL; his sister Mary Ann Klingensmith (Harry) of Rolling Meadows, IL; his grandchildren, Jennifer Cane (Matt), Scot Norris (Katie), Joanna Syzmanski (Brian), Sandra Nirva, Ryan Nirva (Karla), Samantha Pappert (Kris), Austin Nirva and Robert Lorden; and his great grandchildren, Erika, Carwen, Aedan, Isabel, Katalina and Ryker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
