She was predeceased by: her parents, Inga Elizabeth (Pesola) and William Edward Oja; her brothers, Jerry and Richard Oja; and her siblings-in-law, Harry Williams, Gordon Halonen, Wally Monett, Charlotte Oja, Dorothy Halonen Cox, Della Monett, Helen Lahtela and Shirley Monett.
She is survived by: her husband William Ardean Lahtela; her daughters, Sara Lakanen (Edward) of Ishpeming and Susan Beyer (Kurt) of Lena, WI; her grandchildren, Jared Lakanen (Adrianna), Dan Lakanen (Vanessa), Josie, Jenna, Lydia and Max Beyer; her siblings, Sarah Williams of The Woodlands, TX, Virginia Prusi (Chas) of Black River and Ken Oja (Theresa) of Marquette; and her siblings-in-law, Margaret Oja of Ishpeming and Albert Lahtela of Winston Salem, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
