He was predeceased by: his parents, Elaine Grace (Maki) and John Peter Carlson; his wife Sandi; his siblings, Norman and Ann Marie LaCosse; and his nephew Ethan.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Carlson of Farmington Hills, MI and Kevin Carlson (Sabina) of Negaunee; his grandchildren, Josie, Jay, Katie and Eli; his brothers, Peter Carlson (Cathy) of Ishpeming and Ross Carlson (Barb) of Ishpeming; and his sister-in-law Sharon Engstrom (Rick) of Alpena, MI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a Private graveside service will be held at the Ishpeming Cemetery with Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating.
