She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Dowdy and Gracie M. Dowdy (Carlile); and her siblings, Janet Bobbit and Lonnie Dowdy. She is survived by: her children, Trina Johnson (Sam) of Ishpeming, Lorin Swan (Ayshea Fraser) of Aubrey, TX and Ontario; her grandchildren, Bria Isaacson (Aaron), Abby Johnson, Stephan Johnson and Bethany Swan; and her brothers, Buck Dowdy of Texas and Allen Dowdy (Pat) of Texas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Honoring Gwen's wishes and current restrictions concerning COVID-19 a private family service will be held.
