She was predeceased by: her parents, Flora Arpiainen (Kallatsa) and Daniel Arpiainen; her husband Henry Chynoweth; her daughters, Phyllis Salo and Janet Champion; her siblings, Art, Norman, Ray, Carl, Willis Arpiainen, Violet Brewster, Helen Tammelin, Elsie Bingham, Martha Pokkela and Eva Arpiainen; her stepdaughter-in-law Sheila Champion; and her close friends, Betty Rosten, Arlene Patrick and Rhea Kippola.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Champion (Blanche) of Ishpeming, Doug Champion (Lahna) of Maryland and Michael Verville (Minda); her stepson David Champion; her son-in-law Donald Salo of Clarksburg Loc; her grandchildren, David Champion (Rachel), Derrick Champion (Emily), Billy Salo, Danny Salo and Shawn Salo; and her great grandchildren, Aaron Champion, Daniel Champion, Sarah Champion and Ethan Salo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
