She was predeceased by: her father Robert J. LaForest; her daughter Pamela Young; her grandson Paul Holmgren; and her sister-in-law Carrie LaForest. She is survived by: her mother Virginia LaForest (St Cyr) of Ishpeming; her children, Cindy Wood (Edwin) of Metropolis, IL, Karen Holmgren (Chris) of Ishpeming, Brent Winchester (Delana) of Marion, IL and Neil Winchester (Stephanie) of Marion, IL; her brothers, Dennis LaForest of Champion and Robert LaForest (Jane) of Ishpeming; and her close friend Annie Roberts. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
