He was predeceased by: his parents, Toivo Kari and Miriam Kari Nicholls (Kontio); his stepfather James Nicholls; his sister Betty Dugger; and his son-in-law Christopher Kangas.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Kari (Healey); his children, Jaclyn Kangas of Owasso, OK and Kevin Kari (Cathy) of Kaukauna, WI; his grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn Kangas of Owasso and Lilyan Kari of Kaukauna; his siblings, Mavis Wiitanen (John), Paul Kari and Shirley Solomon (John); his brothers-in-law, John Healey (Jean Ann) and Patrick Healey; and his nephews, Bryan Kari, Daryl Solomon and Scott Haroski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
