He is survived by: his mother Rosalie Kempainen (Laituri); his wife Debbie Kempainen (Byrd); his children, Jessica Duggins (Scott) and Philip Kempainen (Bayleigh); his grandchildren, Cole Duggins, Bennett Kempainen and Collins Kempainen; and his sister Cheryl Kempainen Fowler (Trevor Fowler).
