He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude E. Kautz, and Anna E. Kautz, Sr. (Horleman); his son Scott Kautz; his great grandchild Blake; and his siblings, Pam Kautz and Earl Kautz.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene M. Kautz (Keto); his children, Claude "Snitz" Kautz III (Cathy Pennala), Karen Perreault (Pud) and Kathie Hermanson (Kevin); his daughter-in-law Trish Kautz; his sister Claudette Craig (Bruce); his sister-in-law Barbara Kautz; and his grandchildren, Casey Dugan, Gabrielle Kautz, Anna-Liisa Hill, Brandi Panzer (Andy), Nichole Kautz, Amber Kautz, Scott Kautz Jr., Hunter Kautz, Dani Hollenbeck (Mike), Joshua Perreault (Cheyenne), Ryan Hermanson (Kim), Kyle Hermanson (Megan) and Taylor Weir (B. J.). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
