With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arlene Lakonen (Ishpeming, Michigan), who passed away on June 1, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Nurmela and Helen Nurmela (Niemi); and her brothers, Robert and Daniel Nurmela. She is survived by: her husband Jalmer Lakonen; her children, Anna Zoglman (Chad) of Green Bay, WI and Jalmer Lakonen III (Randi) of Hortonville, WI; and her brothers, Arnold Nurmela (Laura) of Three Lakes and Ralph Nurmela (Michael) of Florida. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
