It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shawn L. Heckathorn of Ironwood, Michigan, born in Logansport, Indiana, who passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin and Shirley. He is survived by: his wife Coleen; his children, David (Vanessa), Christina, Alycia (Aaron), Brittany (Ian) and Brian (Clare); his grandchildren, Tyler, Spencer, Paige, Alejandro, Jackson, Aaliyah and Camden; his brothers, Michael (Tammy) and Jesse (Brenda); and his mother-in-law Betty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516, a charity focused on helping veterans which Shawn passionately supported.
