He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence "Lee" Peterson. He is survived by: his mother Terry Ann Ruby; his sisters, Lisa Campbell (Rex), Paula DeCicco and Kristine Biermeier (Tim); his aunt Michele Skovera; and his uncle Mark Skovera (Linda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
