He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schmalz and Esther Schmalz; and his brother William Schmalz (Marjorie). He is survived by: his children, Marylou Pavlovich (Steve), Michael Schmalz (Suzanne) and Charles Schmalz (Barbara). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
