She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Benetti and Antonia Benetti (Dal Degan); her husbands, Arthur Karjala and Leo Johnson; her son Michael; and her siblings, Arthur, Rinaldo "Cy" Benettii, Amelia Valesano, Mary Turunen, Inez Chiantello and Elizabeth DalPra.
She is survived by: her children, Arthur Karjala of Hurley, Mary Kay Welch of Ironwood and Susan Auping of Oregon, Wisconsin; and her sister Eleanor Glugla of Waukesha, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
